While you can’t precisely dictate what TATAT will create, you can guide it by setting parameters. This mood configuration involves choosing notes, intervals, time fragmentation, and even velocity fluctuation. Once you find a mood that resonates with you, TATAT will deliver a continuous stream of musical events that stay within that chosen ambiance.

You have various options to tailor your experience with TATAT. You can let it play its stream while making adjustments. For instance, you can add silence using the Less function, control smooth accelerando and ritardando with the Ratio feature, or manage how intervals are generated through the Key In function. This allows you to change notes on the fly, bringing an added dimension to your sound.

For those looking to add some stability to their music, you can use the LIV/MEM slider. This slider helps you switch between the generated stream and frozen patterns effectively. Additionally, TATAT can send its notes to enrich existing or incoming MIDI data through the MIDI Thru feature, making it a versatile tool for musicians.

TATAT excels in providing excellent results for both melodic and harmonic parts, as well as percussive ones. To create organic time fluctuations, you can set the chance for different time resolutions and scale the results with the main ratio. You also have the ability to trigger notes at different chances, and if you enable the keys toggle function, you can dynamically alter the notes while the stream is active.

If you’d like to add harmonic weight, using double hit intervals is an option. You can set two intervals and define their probability of being triggered. The process for manipulating the generated notes is simple and intuitive. You can make choices around velocity variation, delay, note length, randomization, or even mute specific notes.

TATAT allows you to explore the balance between flow and pattern with the LIV/MEM parameter. When set to 0%, a buffer continuously records the stream. When you set it to a different value, the buffer locks, giving you the chance to choose between live notes and those that are buffered. At 100%, you have a stable pattern, maintaining control over the dynamic stream.

TATAT also offers a choice between two visual themes: DARK and LIGHT SKIN, making it adaptable to your preferences.

Please note that TATAT is an Audio Unit extension (AUv3), and it works only in AUv3 host apps compatible with MIDI FX, such as Logic Pro, AUM, and Cubasis.
