For clearer recordings, the Spirit Box runs audio banks that play clear speech without any background or scan noise. If you prefer some background noise, you can use one of the EVP Enhancers to add it. There are four distinct audio banks designed to work with the audio recorder. Each bank plays random bits of sounds, created through extensive testing in live EVP sessions. You can use these audio banks alone or combine them to enhance your EVP capture.

Using sound waves for EVP alongside the Spirit Box can be particularly effective. For instance, you can mix Sound Wave 1 with Spirit Box Channel 3 or combine multiple sound waves with other Spirit Box channels. The Spirit Box includes a Mix Channel 5, which randomly runs parts of the primary four spirit box channels at different speeds. This allows you to scan through all channels without having to switch between them individually.

All your recorded files are saved in the “Spirits Wave” folder on your phone's internal storage. The scan speed controls let you adjust the speed of all spirit box channels easily. If you don’t select a speed, the app uses the normal setting by default.
