SkyPocket is a straightforward app designed for anyone who loves to fly. It works perfectly in flight mode with no ads, sign-ups, or hidden costs. You buy it once, and it's yours forever. For the best experience, a window seat is recommended.

SkyPocket is especially useful for aviation enthusiasts. It provides live ground speed, altitude, and vertical speed measurements. You’ll see this information on easy-to-read cockpit-style tapes. The app comes with an offline moving map that includes coastlines and even mid-ocean features to guide you. You can watch the cabin pressure altitude climb to 7,000 feet as your flight progresses, thanks to its built-in barometer. You’ll also receive information about turbulence, g-force monitoring, and the bank angle indicator, all powered by your device's motion sensors.

As you fly, SkyPocket shares geographical facts about the country beneath you, including the local time and interesting trivia. You can even track the sun’s position to know the best side of the plane to sit on. With 41,000 named peaks and 3,000 lakes displayed on the chart, you have a detailed view of the terrain below. You can select a destination for distance calculation, receive live ETA tracking, and see your expected arrival time. If you want to keep your memories, you can share a flight card or export your data in CSV or GPX format. Plus, the flight replay feature allows you to revisit your route in just thirty seconds, with numbers ticking as it goes.

For those who feel nervous about flying, SkyPocket offers special features tailored for you. You can inform the app about your aircraft, or it can identify it for you. It provides explanations for every flight phase, like the takeoff roll and the quiet moment right after takeoff. You can even decode cabin sounds and recognize calming noises marked with a "NORMAL" badge. With details about 65 aircraft, including spotting clues and trivia about models like the A220 and the Queen of the Skies, you’ll learn more as you fly.

SkyPocket is also a great tool for storytellers. You can stamp photos with your speed, altitude, and position, and create video clips complete with a live stats marquee. Jot down flight notes, capturing thoughts at 36,000 feet, right when they occur. Turn your flight experience into an engaging 9:16 reel that includes your route, records, photos, and notes arranged in order. While airborne, the tab bar transforms into a flight deck, letting you access photos, clips, and notes quickly with just one thumb.

For the globetrotter, SkyPocket names your flights using codes from over 4,000 airports, like BFS to BCN, not just a simple date. It maintains a flight logbook that tracks your lifetime flights, hours airborne, and kilometers flown. You'll also find a useful language phrasebook with ten languages available. This feature reads sentences aloud and helps build sentences, making communication easier while you travel.

To record your entire flight, simply tap once before takeoff. SkyPocket will continue recording, even if your phone is locked in your pocket. You’ll see live stats on your lock screen, and the app can automatically detect when you land. If your phone crashes, runs out of battery, or you accidentally close the app, your flight data will be saved, and you can resume later.

SkyPocket supports multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Japanese, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, Ukrainian, Russian, Hebrew, and Polish. This means that while you fly over 238 countries, you can read about them in your language and explore the bundled World Factbook.

With its user-friendly interface, SkyPocket delivers a comprehensive and interactive flight experience. Whether you’re an aviation nerd, a nervous flyer, or a seasoned globetrotter, this app has something to enhance your journey. Enjoy a smoother and more informed flight experience with SkyPocket.
