Almost a year after successfully launching the first MagicDeathEye plugin, we are excited to introduce its “bigger brother,” the MagicDeathEyeStereo compressor. This app is a tube compressor with an integrated EQ circuit, specially designed to meet all your mastering needs.

In creating MagicDeathEyeStereo, we took everything we learned from the first version and made a true emulation of a remarkable piece of audio hardware. While both the mono and stereo versions have similar signature sounds, each has its own area of expertise. The mono compressor is great for working on individual tracks, while the stereo version is perfect for gluing the whole mix together. It features an even smoother compression curve and offers many useful tools to help you with mix finalization.

The stereo compressor consists of two mono circuits, along with extras tailored for mastering and buss compression duties. This version adds an EQ section that includes two boost only bands, each with two frequency selections. The EQ is integrated into the Variable Mu tube gain structure. This means the EQ circuit is not placed before or after the compression; it works within it for optimal sound.

Its inductor based EQ provides wide curves to enhance program material, giving your audio that special touch. Additionally, there is a low cut frequency option to tighten up any out-of-control bass. You can apply a 5dB boost or a 3dB boost, divided into five steps of adjustment.

I’ve dedicated a lot of time to shaping this EQ using audio mastering techniques, fine-tuning the components every weekend. The result truly sounds fabulous!
