HAM Test Prep: Extra is a comprehensive app designed to help you prepare for your Amateur Radio License exams. It features the Extra Question Pool, which will be effective starting July 1, 2024. If you're not sure about purchasing the full version, you can try the Lite version of the app first.

Once you complete your first practice exam, the app shows a proficiency display that highlights how well you performed in each question group for every practice exam you've taken. You can also choose to receive immediate feedback to know which answers are correct and which are wrong while taking a practice test. On these practice exams, the questions will not repeat within the same group until all have been used.

Some practice test questions require you to engage in a Figures review. You can easily zoom Figures on your iPhone or iPod touch, allowing for a clearer view of the necessary images.

The app also provides access to FCC rule text, which can be viewed within the application. You can browse all sections right from the main screen. When studying question pool items or reviewing test results, you'll be able to see the rule text for questions that have corresponding rule sections.

If you need to take a break during a practice test, you can resume your in-progress test whenever you're ready.

The current Extra Question Pool will remain valid through June 30, 2028, ensuring that you have access to the most up-to-date questions and materials.

In addition to supporting the Amateur Extra license, the app is also available for both the Technician and General license classes, making it suitable for a wider audience.
