The Drumline Break Creator app makes it simple and enjoyable to compose percussion notation for snare drums and tenor drums. Gone are the days of needing laptops, expensive subscriptions, or outdated music composition tools that were built for pianos and have hundreds of features you won’t ever use. Whether you’re at home, in a band room, on a bus, or out in the field, this app gives you quick access to the specific notation you need. With it, you can compose, edit, playback, save, and share snare drum and tenor drum parts with your section, instructor, drumline, or band. And the best part? You pay a one-time price, and it’s always available right next to your drum key.

As musicians, we spend much of our time playing music created by others. Why not take this chance to create your own? The Drumline Break Creator aims to inspire the next generation of music writers. It’s time to craft the winning break, unique percussion feature, or catchy cadence and street beat for your next performance.

All audio samples in the app have been professionally recorded at NoiseFloor Ltd. in Chicago by renowned DCI sound engineer Jamie Vanadia. The tools you’ll use include the Dynasty MS-XD14 Marching Snare Drum with an Evans Hybrid drumhead, along with the Dynasty MT-680234 Tenor Drums, which feature 6-inch and 8-inch shot drums on Evans Corps Clear heads.

With Drumline Break Creator, you’ll find a variety of rudiments to work with, including triplets and sextuplets, flams, single stroke 4s, and much more. You can also add accents, doubles, grace notes, rimshots, and even your preferred sticking.

This app is a great tool for creating standout drum breaks and shaping your drumline’s next warmups. You can write new cadences or street beats for your upcoming parade or event. It also helps you better grasp the timing and voicing of your music. If you play along on your drum pad, you’ll find it useful for improving your drumming skills, especially for beginners looking to read music notations more effectively. If you encounter harder sheet music parts, recreate them using this app to make sections of your show smoother.

We encourage every user to share their thoughts on how to make the app even better. Feedback is always welcome, and I’m committed to providing future app updates as more users join. And for those eager for variety, we’re planning to add bass drums and cymbals as the community grows.

Hello! I’m the developer of the Drumline Break Creator and have been drumming for 32 years. It’s a bit surreal to think about that! From jamming to recordings of legendary drum battles featuring Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich at age seven, to participating in high school marching band, and earning a spot in the WGI finals, I’ve lived and breathed drumming. There were even nights spent auditioning at Glassmen (RIP), along with marching in Michigan State's drumline and touring the U.S. with my indie-emo band, supported by Truth Drums.

I’m grateful to be surrounded by musicians who appreciate both the sport and the art of marching percussion. My journey has also enabled me to learn a few things about creating software, which always links back to my passion for drumming.

Happy drumming, and thank you for downloading the Drumline Break Creator!
