ArcEmu lets you turn your Apple Watch into a retro game console. With this app, you can play classic games from consoles like the Game Boy, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), and Sega Mega Drive right on your wrist. You can use multi-touch controls along with the Digital Crown for easy navigation. ArcEmu also works on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, which gives you many options to enjoy your favorite games.

For free, you can access popular systems like Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and the NES. If you’re looking for more games, various options are available through in-app purchases, including Game Boy Advance support and titles from the Sega Master System, Atari 2600, and more.

ArcEmu is great for multiplayer online gaming, allowing you to play both online and locally with friends. If you enjoy Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games, you can link them together through the internet. The Game Link Cable feature supports up to four players for some games. Remember, to play online, you will need a Game Center account.

Sharing your favorite games is easy too. You can import ROMs from iCloud directly to your Apple Watch or Apple TV. With family setup sharing, you can even share your games through iCloud using a simple code.

The app gives you options to customize your gaming experience. You can move and resize the game screen, choose between LCD or CRT filter options, and set up a customizable control layout. For Apple Watch, you will find touch-based controls that let you interact intuitively with your games. You have the freedom to change button positions and play in any orientation on iPhone and iPad. If you wish, you can connect a controller and adjust its mappings according to your preferences, or even use a second controller, making it easy to enjoy with friends. ArcEmu also has iPhone Duo compatibility for a seamless experience.

The app features high-performance emulation that ensures your games run smoothly. You can speed up gameplay using fast-forward options at 2x, 4x, or maximum speed. If you want to enjoy games at a slower pace, there's a slow-motion gameplay mode that runs at 0.5x speed. Additionally, there's a built-in cheat codes database to help you enhance your gameplay, but be aware that using cheat codes can affect game stability and save data.

You can enjoy arcade emulation features, including touch-based light gun controls for NES and SNES games. Custom Game Boy palettes allow you to change how your games look. Haptic feedback on your iPhone enhances the gaming experience, adding a layer of immersion.

For your game organization, ArcEmu provides tools to help you keep your collection neat. You can create per-console folders and use sorting and search options to locate your games easily. The app supports importing ROMs from ZIP and 7-Zip archives and features automatic save states so you never lose your progress. Both your ROMs and save states can be stored in cloud storage for easy access across devices.

Compatibility with the newest Apple Watches is excellent, as ArcEmu works on Apple Watch Series 4 or later, Apple Watch SE or later, and Apple Watch Ultra or later.

As a reminder, ArcEmu does not come with any games or ROMs. Please note that the app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, Sega, or Atari, and all trademarks are owned by their respective owners.
