Funk Drummer is your virtual funk drummer, creating tight pocket grooves that feel just like a real session player. This app is free to download and lets you keep using it, with all features unlocked for the first 7 days. It’s made for musicians, producers, and anyone who loves funk, soul music, and groove-based music, now enhanced with AUv3 support.

With Funk Drummer, you can play authentic funk grooves, fusion, disco funk, breakbeat rhythms, and odd-time rhythms. The app captures the natural feel of human drumming. You can easily set the improvisation level using a simple slider, allowing Funk Drummer to surprise you with everything from steady pocket rhythms to full creative chaos.

One of the highlights of Funk Drummer is its 150+ funk grooves, which are neatly organized into banks such as Fusion and Ternary rhythms. This makes it easy to find just the right groove for your music. You can use Funk Drummer as a standalone app or as a MIDI-only plugin, allowing you to drive your own sound sources and create music seamlessly.

Funk Drummer is not just about playing; it’s a great jamming tool. You can add a human feel and spontaneity to every groove with its groove randomizers. The live pads let you trigger fills and switch grooves in real time. You’ll find 8 assignable pads to help you jam freely, along with intro and end buttons and full MIDI control.

The app also functions as a MIDI sampler. You can use the full drum kit as a standalone plugin or triggered from your own MIDI tracks or pads. If you're looking to turn your grooves into complete song structures, Funk Drummer makes that simple with its song mode.

Navigating your project is easy thanks to the redesigned views. The reworked drum kit view and song mode view help you find what you need quickly and clearly. Plus, sharing is a breeze. You can share grooves or songs with others using AirDrop, Mail, or Messages without needing an account or cloud service. Groove sharing works across Lumbeat apps too, allowing you to send grooves, songs, and live pad sets to other Lumbeat Drummer apps and iBassist.

Funk Drummer offers a natural sound experience with 35+6 multilayer sounds that include three hit types: ghost notes, accented notes, and special notes, all combined with three Round Robin alternating samples. This setup ensures a highly natural feel while you play. Additionally, the app includes four effects: compressor/gate, equalizer, delay, and reverb, so you can mix them to your liking.

You can sync tempo and transport with other apps and devices through Ableton Link integration, ensuring everything stays in time. If you need to export your work, getting multi-track or full mix audio is quick and easy.

Every feature is available for free during the first 7 days. After this trial, you can unlock full access forever with a one-time purchase and no subscription fees. If you already own Funk Drummer, your purchase automatically carries over when you open the updated app, with no need for extra steps or costs.

With all these features, Funk Drummer stands out as your go-to app for creating real funk groove music effortlessly.
