blitzerfunk is an app designed to help drivers stay informed about speed cameras, traffic reports, and fuel prices. Just like a CB radio, blitzerfunk allows drivers to share real-time updates, letting each other know where mobile speed cameras are located, the latest police traffic updates, and where to find cheap fuel. You can easily pick your districts to see what’s happening in your area instantly.

In the app's "Latest" section, you can find all reports from your selected districts presented as a list or shown on a map. The "Nearby" feature displays everything within 20 km, so you’re never caught off guard. Users can also vote on whether a speed camera is "Still there" or "Gone," keeping the community updated.

While you’re on the road, blitzerfunk warns you about accidents, traffic jams, and road closures ahead. These warnings come through as vibration alerts, voice announcements, and even with the screen locked. If you are a passenger, you can choose to enable warnings for both mobile and fixed speed cameras during your trip.

When it comes to fuel price tracking, blitzerfunk provides up-to-date information on E5, E10, and diesel prices at petrol stations near you. You can access this information as a list or view it on a map, complete with petrol station opening hours and navigation to each station. This feature uses Tankerkönig for accurate pricing data.

The app offers a simple and fast way to report speed cameras. If you spot one, you can report it in seconds. Your rating helps keep the reports current, ensuring everyone benefits from shared information. You can easily share traffic reports, speed cameras, and petrol stations directly from the app’s list.

blitzerfunk includes a fun radio points system where you earn points for every report, rating, and comment you make. Climb the ranks from newbie to district legend, and see who is the top reporter in your area on the district legends leaderboard. You will appear under a pseudonym for privacy.

To enhance your experience, you can add a home screen widget displaying the latest reports and the cheapest fuel stations. You can also use Siri voice commands, like “Show speed cameras in blitzerfunk” or “Cheapest fuel in blitzerfunk.” If you prefer, the app can notify you whenever a new speed camera appears in your districts, with different settings available for weekdays and weekends.

blitzerfunk takes your privacy seriously. There’s no account required to use the app, meaning no sign-ups with your name or email. Importantly, there’s no tracking of your data, and the app does not include analytics or advertising services. It is available in both German and English, making it accessible for more users.

Please remember, according to German driving regulations, drivers are not allowed to use speed camera warners while driving. For safety reasons, it is essential to avoid using the app in this context.
