Lump Gang was inspired by my experience of doomscrolling, where I first encountered the ugly thinking emoji meme. At first, I couldn't appreciate it. However, on one of those days where you just view things differently, I saw how it could express thoughts in a unique way, despite its crude design.

This sparked my curiosity, and I began to sketch and recreate this style. I became hooked on the idea of lumpy animated characters that accurately show what you're feeling, rather than just summarizing it with a static image. This project took a lot of time and dedication. I mean, I really had to pause my life to make it happen!

Now, I’m excited to share that Lump Gang launches with 372 unique emojis. This is just the basics! I plan to release a new lump every week, just like I did with very necessary emojis. There are so many emotions, big and small, that we can all relate to, and I can’t wait to create more.
